The Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) is planning road safety and traffic improvements at the intersection of Kelly Street and Liverpool Street Scone as part of the NSW Government’s commitment to upgrade multilane pedestrian crossings on major roads.
The RTA is proposing to remove the existing roundabout and install traffic signals. Comments will be considered by the RTA in finalising the project.

Features
Features of the proposal include:
Removing the existing roundabout at the intersection of Kelly Street and Liverpool Street Scone.
Installing new traffic and pedestrian signals at the intersection of Kelly and Liverpool streets.
Replacing the existing pedestrian crossings on both Kelly Street and Liverpool Street with signalised crossings within the intersection signals.
Providing signalised pedestrian crossings on all four sides of the intersection.
Installing median fencing in the immediate vicinity of the signals.

Improve safety for motorists and local residents at this busy intersection.
Improve pedestrian safety, by replacing the multilane pedestrian crossings and providing signalised controlled crossings on all four sides of the intersection.
