The Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) is planning improvements to the intersection of Croudace Street and Howe Street at Lambton. This work will improve safety for motorists and pedestrians.
These works are funded under the State Government’s Blackspot Program.
Work is currently scheduled to commence in May 2007 (weather permitting).
Features
Retention of the existing traffic signals on Croudace Street at Howe Street.
Provision of a right turn bay with signalised control for the right turn into Howe Street from Croudace Street.
Retention of two through lanes on Croudace Street in both directions.
Retention of the existing pedestrian crossings at the traffic signals and the provision of an additional pedestrian crossing across the northern approach of Croudace Street.
Retention of all existing turn movements at the traffic signals.
Retention of the existing right turning storage bay for vehicles turning right into Chilcott Street with a reduced storage length.
Minor upgrade improvements to the existing traffic signals.
