About $147 million has been spent by the NSW Government developing Central Coast roads over the past 10 years. Under Connecting the Central Coast, this will increase to about $225 million over the next 10 years. In addition to this average road upgrade spending of $22.5 million per year, about $8 million per year will be spent on maintenance.
Major roads to be targeted for upgrades include the Pacific Highway, The Entrance Road, Terrigal Drive and Avoca Drive. The F3 Freeway, a National Highway, is to be improved under Auslink funding arrangements with Federal and State funds.
