An interchange will be built at Swamp Road to provide access to and from the north for the Swamp Road and Kiama Downs area.
Southbound motorists travelling to Minnamurra will leave the bypass via an off-ramp and continue along the route of the old Princes Highway. Southbound motorists wishing to access Swamp Road will use the same off-ramp and an overbridge to join Swamp Road.
Northbound motorists from Kiama Downs will use the present highway route and join the bypass via the overbridge and an on-ramp. Motorists travelling north from Swamp Road will also access the bypass via this on-ramp.
Motorists travelling south from both Swamp Road and Kiama Downs areas will use the old highway to join the bypass at the Bombo interchange.
Any northbound motorists wishing to access Swamp Road will exit at the Bombo interchange and proceed along the old highway.
The Swamp Road interchange will also allow southbound vehicles to do U turns and head north.
