An interchange will be built at Tabbitta Road, Dunmore, to provide access to the Boral Quarry, and will have a bridge over the Boral railway siding. The arrangement shown here is an interim measure until the Oak Flats to Dunmore section is complete.
The northbound carriageway will be built on an embankment to make the road flood free and to allow sufficient clearance for a bridge over the Boral railway siding.
Southbound motorists will continue to use the existing Princes Highway along the Dunmore straight, with left turns permitted into Shellharbour Road, and a sheltered right-turn bay available for turns into Tabbitta Road. Southbound traffic will continue to use the existing level crossing before joining the Bypass near Rocklow Creek. Southbound traffic using Shellharbour Road will be able to access Tabbitta Road and also head south. Right turns out of Shellharbour Road will not be permitted but this movement will be available at the Swamp Road interchange.
Northbound traffic can either continue north along the embankment, using the bridge over the railway siding or leaving the bypass via the off load ramp to access Tabbitta Road or head north on Shellharbour Road.
