F5 Freeway – Entry and exit ramps at Ingleburn

The F5 Freeway extends south of the M5 Motorway at the Cross Roads and is the principle route serving Macarthur and the Southern Highlands.

The major industrial areas located at Ingleburn and Minto have significant existing and potential road transport needs. Previously there was no northbound exit or southbound entry to the F5 Freeway between the Narellan Road interchange, Campbelltown and Camden Valley Way, Prestons.

The RTA commenced construction of entry and exit ramps on the F5 Freeway at Campbelltown Road and Williamson Road at Ingleburn in December 2005. Construction is now complete and the ramps were opened to traffic on 16 June 2006. The new entry and exit ramps improve access for freight vehicles between the Hume Highway and employment zones in Minto and Ingleburn.

This $13.7 million project was jointly funded by the Australian Government and Campbelltown City Council.

Changed traffic conditions

All turning movements have now been reinstated at the intersection of the new entry ramp, Williamson Road and Campbelltown Road. This includes the right turn movement from Williamson Road into Campbelltown Road.

New traffic lights have also been activated at the intersection of the exit ramp and Campbelltown Road at Ingleburn.
