Bus lanes in Epping Road, Marsfield

Bus priority works have been implemented in Epping Road, Marsfield, between Crimea Road and Whiteside Street.

The works, funded by the NSW Government at a cost of $4.3 million, help provide more efficient bus services and improve the flow of general traffic.

Works completed

  • Converting the eastbound T3 am kerbside lane of Epping Road into a 24-hour red bus lane between Crimea Road and Balaclava Road.
  • Converting the westbound T3 pm kerbside lane of Epping Road into a 24-hour red bus lane between Balaclava Road and Crimea Road.

Works underway

  • Extending the double right turn lane in Epping Road westbound at the Herring Road intersection.

Works planned

  • Converting and extending the single right turn lane into a double right turn lane in Epping Road westbound at the Balaclava Road intersection.

The Epping Road works complement a $1.5 million bus early start project in Balaclava Road at the Epping Road intersection.
