Travel time information

The RTA resurveys the prescribed travel times between Safe-T-Cam sites, heavy vehicle checking stations and road-side inspection areas on an annual basis.

The prescribed travel time is the minimum that a heavy vehicle can travel between multiple Safe-T-Cam sites at legal speed limits.

If the existing route is altered in any way, the RTA will recalculate the prescribed travel time. Travel times have been determined by surveys undertaken in a sedan fitted with cruise control, calibrated speedometers, independently calibrated odometer and trip meter and a global positioning system.

To display the requirements for travelling between two NSW Safe-T-Cam sites, choose them from the drop down lists and click on the 'Show Details' button.
