Opportunities in regional and rural NSW
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is a truly state-wide organisation, which means our staff have the opportunity to work in communities across New South Wales.
From Albury to Byron Bay, Wollongong to Broken Hill, Roads and Maritime Services is facing the challenge of increasing number of vehicles on rural and regional roads. This means that our regional staff are vital to maintaining the safety and quality of the road system. We also provide licensing and registry services in all parts of the State.
In fact, half of our staff are based in rural and regional areas.
Roads and Maritime Services divides New South Wales into six regions, each of which is responsible for the road and the road users in their region.
On these pages we describe the regions and the major activities that occur in each.
