Cadetships
Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) Cadetships offer funding towards tertiary studies in Civil Engineering, plus regional paid work placements during semester breaks and internship periods. This extensive workplace experience enables you to apply your studies to current technical projects, develop your project management skills and network with engineering professionals to develop your career path.
As an Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) Cadet you:
- Receive a fortnightly student subsidy
- Attend a comprehensive introductory orientation
- Undertake paid work placements (usually 14-16 weeks each year)
- Complete a thesis/project in a road/transport related research area
- Are given priority entry into Roads and Maritime Services' (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) highly competitive Graduate Recruitment and Development (GRAD) Program

The Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme provides financial assistance for full time tertiary study plus work experience placements during semester breaks.
We offer scholarships in:
- Civil Engineering
- Survey (Spatial Information Systems)
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
As an Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) scholarship holder you:
- Receive financial assistance while you study

- Complete at least 10 weeks of work experience each year
