About Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) apprenticeship program
What we offer
An Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) apprenticeship is a great opportunity if you are looking to obtain a trade qualification.
We offer a competitive salary, with increases each year until the completion of your apprenticeship. We pay your TAFE registration each year and provide your work safety clothing.
Not only will you gain your trade certificate, you will receive other important training in Occupational Health and Safety (White card), Work Activity (Blue card), manual handling and traffic control.
When you start your apprenticeship you will attend a two day orientation where you learn about working in Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority), meet and spend time with other apprentices, and meet Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) supervisors.
How does it work?
Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) and the apprentice enter into a training contract for a four-year program of learning and development. We will pay your TAFE fees.
You will be rotated between workshops and worksites across NSW, giving you exposure to a broad range of skills and a variety of projects.
The first three years are shared between on-the-job work and TAFE study. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported and supervised by experienced colleagues.
Your skills and knowledge will be assessed in the workplace and at TAFE.
Successful apprentices will complete a three-year accredited Certificate III TAFE trade course, a nationally recognised qualification.
