Role
The State Government has committed to the people of western and south-western Sydney expenditure of $145 million annually on road projects and road related infrastructure works in Western Sydney.
The Independent Committee, representing the community, oversights the Government's commitment by monitoring and verifying the expenditure of road funds approved by the Minister for Roads for Western Sydney.
Authority
The Committee reports directly to the Minister for Roads. The composition and terms of the Committee and its membership is determined by the Minister for Roads.
Membership
Membership of the Western Sydney Roads and Transport Committee currently consists of:
- Chairperson (nominee of Minister for Roads)
- A representative from the NRMA Limited
- A representative from Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC).
Meetings
Attendance at meetings is by invitation from the Committee.
Submissions
Confidentiality of submissions, representation, reports, etc., either written or in person, are decided by the Committee on a case by case basis.
